Last month 11 associates from Lithia Reno Subaru were among the volunteers at the Truckee River Clean-up event coordinated by Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB). Lithia Reno’s staff helped beautify a park by removing invasive weeds. The team also eliminated vegetation around a pond to make it more accessible.
In addition to sending a team of volunteers, Lithia Reno helped generate community support for the event. During the month prior to the cleanup, Lithia Reno’s radio and television advertisements included a 10-second call to action encouraging community members to participate. According to KTMB, more than 600 volunteers participated, picking up 17 tons of trash and 25 tons of green waste.
