When it comes to a partnership with the Land Trust of North Alabama, Landers McLarty Subaru shows up…literally.

The Huntsville, AL, retailer isn’t content to simply write a check to support the Land Trust. Its employees help with the work and encourage the local community to get involved.

As part of Earth Month 2018, Landers McLarty donated a sapling to the Land Trust for every vehicle sold. Later that year, the retailer’s employees helped get the saplings in the ground at two separate tree-planting events.

Last April, Landers McLarty donated funds to purchase picnic tables for the Terry Education Pavilion at Chapman Mountain, another Land Trust preserve. Again, Landers McLarty employees were on site helping assemble the tables.

The retailer also encourages customers and the community to get involved with the Land Trust’s conservation efforts and visit its trails.

  • Landers McLarty’s hosted a drive for work gloves, bottled water, and first aid kits, all items used for the Land Trust’s trail care workdays.

  • The two organizations teamed up for a scavenger hunt that encouraged community members to visit nearby trails.
