Last month, student athletes from the North Creek High School volleyball team volunteered with the Mountains to Sound Greenway at its nursery in Issaquah, WA. Coordinated in partnership with Carter Subaru, the team helped plant native Western Red Cedar saplings and performed important maintenance at the site.
In addition to coordinating this group of volunteers, Carter Subaru is offsetting its customers’ carbon footprints with each test drive and planting a forest in the Mountains to Sound Greenway — an iconic 1.5 million acres of connected natural lands in and around the Seattle area. Since 2008, more than 225,000 trees have been planted through Carter's partnership with the greenway.
For every test drive at Carter Subaru, Carter Subaru Ballard, and two additional Carter Motors dealerships, one native tree is planted. For every car sold by Carter, three more trees are planted, for a total of four.
